About the position

Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath) is seeking a Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in enhancing EMPath's social media presence and engagement across various platforms. The coordinator will be responsible for developing and overseeing a comprehensive social media calendar, creating engaging content, and implementing daily posts across our social media channels. The goal is to increase brand awareness and foster deeper engagement with our audience. In this position, you will collaborate with staff to gather content and craft compelling narratives that highlight the impact of our organization and the stories of the families we serve. You will also explore opportunities to expand EMPath's social media presence onto new platforms, such as Threads, and develop strategies to launch and grow our audience there. Additionally, you will attend and report on EMPath events, manage social media groups for program participants, and provide regular performance reports to inform strategy adjustments. Staying updated on the latest social media trends and technologies will be essential to your success in this role. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for social impact and a creative mindset that drives innovative social media strategies. Exceptional writing skills and the ability to create visually appealing content are crucial. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects while collaborating effectively with a diverse team. Proficiency in social media management tools and basic design software is required, along with a solutions-oriented approach to overcoming challenges. Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the social media calendar, creating content for various channels.
  • Implement daily posts and manage the execution of social media strategies to increase brand awareness.
  • Engage with key audiences on social media, responding to comments and fostering relationships.
  • Collaborate with staff to gather content and create engaging narratives for communication channels.
  • Explore and strategize the expansion of EMPath's social media presence onto new platforms.
  • Attend, photograph, and report on EMPath events to create engaging content.
  • Develop social media content for EMPath leadership and partners to amplify messaging.
  • Manage EMPath's social media groups for program participants, generating content and fostering engagement.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on key performance metrics with insights for strategy adjustments.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, technologies, and platforms.
  • Support digital content creation and maintenance, including blog posts and collateral updates.

Requirements
