About the position

The position involves developing new sources of project leads and maintaining current account relationships to ensure that the customer is the preferred choice for project needs. The individual will be responsible for driving growth in the construction industry by identifying new markets and developing leads. This includes defining ideal targets and developing strategies to reach them effectively. Regular contact with potential clients is essential, and building relationships through networking and participation in industry sales and marketing groups/events is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the role requires the development of periodic marketing plans, which encompass organizational structure, marketing materials, market research, public relations, advertising strategy, project types, and other relevant opportunities and goals. The individual will also track marketing and business development opportunities and customer relationships through software, ensuring that all interactions and progress are documented. A significant part of the job will involve the maintenance, creation, and updating of Orion's publications, such as the Statement of Qualifications package, website, and social media platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn. The goal is to showcase the company's achievements and projects, particularly when they are awarded new jobs. The top three responsibilities include content creation, where the individual will compile a list of ongoing jobs that would provide good photo opportunities, attend 3-5 business development events per week, and visit new general contractors' offices to drop off gift bags containing cards and copies of the Statement of Qualifications to gain visibility in the market. This role is primarily focused in the Denver Metro Area but may extend to Colorado Springs or Fort Collins as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience in business development/social media creation/events (1+ years preferred).
  • Ability to record meetings and utilize software effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including email and phone etiquette.
  • Experience with Zoom, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to commute between calls.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to excel at multi-tasking and problem-solving.
  • Team player committed to a collaborative approach.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Background in construction or environmental services.
  • Creative ideas on how to attract new customers/former customers.
  • Experience working with HubSpot.
