About the position

Mayvin is seeking a Social Media Exploitation Analyst who will develop methodologies, tradecraft, and procedures for conducting identity exploitation of media at rest. This role involves detecting, extracting, adjudicating, and combining biographic and digital attribute data for reporting, dissemination, and databasing. The position requires a blend of digital forensics and intelligence analysis skills and supports the Judicial Security Division of the United States Marshals Service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement investigative/analytic tool organizational processes, procedures, and policies for passive and interactive online activity.
  • Identify, develop, and establish processes and procedures for open source/social media exploitation investigative requirements.
  • Draft quality and comprehensive DOJ Privacy Threshold Assessments and Privacy Impact Assessments.
  • Develop online investigative capability technical and privacy evaluation criteria.
  • Identify Internet-managed Attribution Systems, which enable anonymous investigative activities online.
  • Identify occupational standards, skill sets, investigative tools, and capabilities for open source/social media exploitation.
  • Identify current training, skill set analysis, and gap analysis/training needs assessments.
  • Identify manpower and resources necessary for implementing enterprise-wide capability acquisition and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience in law enforcement or intelligence communities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with common stacks.
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages, such as C#, Java, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular, React, and Node.js.
  • Familiarity with databases (such as MySQL and MongoDB), web servers (such as Apache), and User Interface & User Experience (UI/UX) design.
  • Experience working with non-technical staff to help develop innovative technical solutions to ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Law Enforcement Social Media Exploitation experience.
