The Diamond Group is a strategic digital marketing agency based in Wilmington, NC, with a strong reputation built over 29 years of excellence in the industry. We are currently seeking a part-time Social Media Graphic Designer who possesses strong communication skills and a passion for creating engaging visual content. This hybrid position requires the designer to work in-office a few days each week while also allowing for remote work. The primary focus of this role will be to create compelling social media graphics and provide departmental support for our clients, particularly in the healthcare, financial, and home service sectors, as well as for the Diamond Group brand itself. As a Social Media Graphic Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Client Services and Creative teams to service existing clients, revising designs based on feedback and ensuring that all visuals align with the brand's style guide and voice. You will be responsible for crafting topics and copy for social media posts, developing pillar content plans for blogs that enhance long-term brand equity, and utilizing SEO best practices to connect content with overarching search strategies. Your creativity and attention to detail will be crucial in producing high-quality, visually appealing designs that resonate with our clients' target audiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic team environment and is eager to contribute to our mission of helping clients build strong relationships with their ideal customers through effective content marketing. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with TDG's Client Services and Creative teams to service existing clients and revise designs based on feedback.
  • Craft topics, copy for posts, and ideas for graphic social media content.
  • Develop pillar content plans for blog content that generates long-term brand equity.
  • Ensure all visuals align with the brand's style guide and voice.
  • Effectively use tools to schedule and publish social media content and coordinate with the Client Services team.
  • Write outlines for approved blog topics to guide writers in producing high-quality content.
  • Utilize SEO best practices and tools to connect topics, posts, and content to overarching search strategies.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of active social media experience on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Strong communication skills, both listening and speaking, to clearly interpret and convey design ideas.
  • Desire for growth and collaboration within a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent initiative-taking and a collaborative approach to work.
  • Proven track record of responsive and reliable digital communication.
  • Ability to use cloud-based platforms for remote work management (e.g., G-suite, HubSpot, Sprout).
  • Creativity and attention to detail to produce visually appealing and original content.
  • Strong time management skills to handle deadlines and multiple projects efficiently.
