About the position

The Social Media Manager and Content Creator role at Sun Labs's affiliated businesses is designed for a dynamic and creative individual, preferably a college student, to enhance brand presence and engage audiences through innovative social media strategies. The position involves managing content across various platforms, primarily Instagram and Facebook, while also utilizing YouTube and TikTok. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with analytical skills to drive traffic and foster community relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and manage published content across various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and others.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and engagement opportunities using social listening tools.
  • Analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the business owner to align social media efforts with overall marketing objectives.
  • Manage advertising campaigns on social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
  • Produce high-quality video content that resonates with our audience.
  • Maintain relationships with influencers and brand advocates to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and public relations.

Requirements

  • GREAT copywriting skills.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Advanced graphic design (using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and video editing (using After Effects and/or whichever preferred programs) ability and skills.
  • Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
  • Strong skills in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video editing.
  • Knowledge of advertising techniques on social media platforms.
  • Experience in relationship management with online communities or influencers.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools to track performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in social listening tools to gauge audience sentiment and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for staying current with digital marketing trends and emerging technologies.
