About the position

The Re:Shop is looking for a creative and experienced Social Media Manager and Content Creator to join our team in New York City. This position is essential for developing and implementing our social media strategy aimed at increasing brand awareness and driving engagement across our three retail locations. The ideal candidate must be local to NYC and will play a pivotal role in shaping our online presence through innovative content and strategic marketing initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging social media content tailored for various platforms, managing all social media channels and campaigns, and monitoring, tracking, and analyzing social media performance metrics. Collaboration with the marketing team is crucial to ensure brand consistency across all platforms. You will also need to stay updated with the latest social media trends and best practices to keep our content fresh and relevant. Engagement with our audience is key; you will be expected to respond to comments and messages, fostering a community around our brand. Additionally, you will develop and manage influencer partnerships and plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns to further enhance our reach and engagement.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles
  • Knowledge of social media marketing strategies
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Ability to conduct research for content creation

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of marketing experience (preferred)
  • Ability to relocate to New York, NY before starting work (preferred)
