About the position

Southern View Media is seeking a Social Media Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aimed at enhancing client brand presence, engaging audiences, and driving traffic and sales. The role involves creating compelling content, managing social media channels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling copy for social media and meta ads.
  • Create graphics/videos for social media and meta ads as needed/assigned.
  • Collect content (photos and videos) as needed for clients.
  • Proofread other social media managers' content and websites.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information for current content plans.
  • Create content plans and manage a content calendar.
  • Make creative suggestions for clients based on current trends and needs.
  • Attend networking events as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and sales.
  • Experiment with new formats, platforms, and strategies to innovate.
  • Monitor social pages for messages and comments.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Update and maintain client social channels.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to measure campaign success.
  • Proactively suggest adjustments to content strategies as best practices change.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Canva and/or Illustrator.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • 2 years of social media marketing experience required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Client relations and customer service experience.
  • Ability to read and explain social media metrics.
  • Up to date on best practices for social media content creation and engagement.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must have a live and secure Facebook Page and LinkedIn Page.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with strong storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Adobe products such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with social media advertising and analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics).
  • College degree preferred, but 2 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
