About the position

The Social Media Manager at the College of Nursing, Florida State University, is responsible for developing and managing social media campaigns to support health behavior research studies, particularly those focused on mobile health interventions. This role involves overseeing social media recruitment strategies, analyzing data, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance communication and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop content and manage social media campaigns for health behavior research studies.
• Monitor and adjust paid ad campaigns based on performance.
• Identify social media influencers for collaboration to recruit youth into research studies.
• Compile and report data and metrics for advertising.
• Create evaluation instruments and standard operating procedures for research communication.
• Provide guidance to research assistants and students involved in communications and social media.
• Manage file storage, listservs, and other communication modes.
• Support network-wide communication across institutions.
• Assist with manuscripts, conference presentations, and research grant applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in a related field or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete assignments independently with attention to detail.

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Prior experience in research or programming focused on HIV prevention and engagement in care.
• Interest in technology-based research interventions to improve health and wellness.
• Knowledge of social media content creation and effective strategies.
