About the position

The Social Media Manager & Content Creator at Magic Spoon will be responsible for driving brand growth and engagement through innovative content creation on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. This role involves managing social media channels, creating short-form video content, and executing multi-channel content calendars. The position requires a blend of creativity, social media expertise, and a passion for healthy living, all while working in a hybrid environment based in Tribeca, NYC.

Responsibilities

• Create short form video content for organic and paid media aligned with business goals and brand growth across channels, focusing on TikTok & Instagram.
• Lead execution of weekly, multi-channel content calendars including content brainstorming, editing, caption writing, and post scheduling.
• Accelerate audience growth on TikTok while achieving best-in-class industry engagement.
• Monitor and manage Magic Spoon's social community, identifying and executing opportunities with creators, partnerships, and collaborations.
• Build out a monthly reporting structure to share key learnings with internal stakeholders.
• Stay updated on trends, pop culture, current events, competitors, and social media best practices to identify opportunities for Magic Spoon participation.
• Assist with ad hoc copywriting needs across key channels including paid social, email, and web.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience with a proven track record of growing personal or brand TikTok and Instagram.
• Comfortable with UGC including filming, editing, and being on camera.
• Experience with video editing platforms such as CapCut, InShot, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Up to date with social media trends and what's working on TikTok and Instagram.
• Experience in social media metrics and monitoring tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
• Proven ability to be a creative and innovative thinker with excellence in concepting and copywriting.
• A love of fitness, healthy eating, and knowledge about key creators and brands in the better-for-you space.
