About the position

The Social Media Manager / Content Creator will be responsible for developing and executing a content strategy that enhances engagement, builds brand awareness, and drives growth for a new and exciting brand. This role involves creating compelling content across various digital platforms and collaborating with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and effective promotional strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Create, edit, and publish compelling photo and video content that aligns with brand goals
  • Write captivating copy for posts, captions, and social media campaigns
  • Manage content calendars, ensuring consistent and timely posting
  • Engage with our online community, responding to comments, DMs, and creating conversations
  • Track and analyze social media performance, adjusting strategies to optimize engagement and growth
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, tools, and best practices, implementing new ideas to keep the brand fresh and relevant
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency and develop promotional content for product launches, events, etc.
  • Be the brand voice and visual storyteller across all digital channels

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in social media management and content creation (personal or professional experience welcome)
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.) and graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop)
  • Strong writing skills with a knack for creating engaging, on-brand content
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts and growing followers/engagement organically
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a willingness to experiment and take risks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a scrappy, hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar

  • Experience in influencer marketing or community-building
  • Passion for storytelling through visuals and short-form videos
