About the position

Kohler Ventures, a subsidiary of Kohler Co., is seeking a Social Media Manager to oversee and enhance the company's voice across various social media platforms. This role is pivotal in developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy for a new health and wellness venture. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating engaging content, fostering a strong online community, and managing social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X. This position is an individual contributor role that reports directly to the Executive Director - Head of Business at Kohler Ventures. In this role, the Social Media Manager will define and implement the social media strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the overall goals of the health and wellness venture. The manager will curate and publish high-quality content that resonates with the target audience, collaborating closely with the Content Editor. Engaging with the online community is crucial, as the manager will respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner. Staying updated with industry developments, wellness trends, and social media tools is essential for success in this position. Additionally, the Social Media Manager will plan and execute social media campaigns to promote product launches, events, and other initiatives. Maintaining a current list of influencers in relevant areas and developing a shortlist of potential influencers will be part of the responsibilities to amplify reach and engagement. The role requires collaboration with other members of the Kohler Ventures Commercial team and select external agencies to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the social media strategy of a new health and wellness venture
  • Set up and manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.)
  • Create, curate and publish high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our target audience - in partnership with our Content Editor
  • Engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, wellness trends, social media trends, tools and applications
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote product launches, events, and other initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date list of influencers in key areas and industries and develop shortlist of potential influencers in line with key topics to amplify our reach and engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in the wellness and tech industry
  • Excellent written communication skills - strong fluency in English, excellent diction, refined and polished writing
  • Proven ability to remain polite and composed in the face of negative comments
  • Proven ability to stay focused on the customer and maintain the reputation of the brand at all times
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices with a keen interest in staying up to date
  • Proficiency in content creation tools and video editing software
  • Previous experience working in a wellness or tech startup is a plus
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive work forward
