About the position

As a Social Media Manager at Heartland Dental, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand presence and the local brands of our supported offices through strategic social media management. This remote position requires a creative thinker with a keen eye for detail, who can lead a team and provide strategic recommendations to elevate our social media strategies. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy aimed at increasing brand awareness, driving engagement, and generating leads across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the marketing and communications teams to align social media efforts with overall business goals and campaigns. You will also define and implement an enhanced social media strategy specifically for the Heartland Dental supported footprint, ensuring that all social media activities are consistent with our brand voice and guidelines. Monitoring and analyzing social media performance using relevant analytics tools will be crucial, as you will leverage insights to optimize content strategy and drive continuous improvement. Staying updated with social media trends and best practices will enable you to proactively recommend new strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Additionally, you will cultivate relationships with influencers, partners, and customers to amplify brand reach and engagement, and partner with the marketing team on social media paid advertising campaigns to maximize ROI. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a positive and productive work environment, holding direct reports accountable for performance standards, and conducting performance evaluations. This position reports to the VP of Communications and is integral to the success of our social media initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, supervision, and leadership to team members.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and identify process improvements across social media processes.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Hold direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and departmental performance goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads across all relevant platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing, external communications / PR, and other departments to align social media efforts with overall business goals and campaigns.
  • Define and implement an enhanced social media strategy for the Heartland Dental supported footprint.
  • Partner with Field Marketing, Operations, and other departments to execute social media in supported offices.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance using relevant analytics tools, and leverage insights to optimize content strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and platform updates, and proactively recommend new strategies and tactics to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with influencers, partners, and customers to amplify brand reach and engagement.
  • Partner across Marketing on social media paid advertising campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Implement and maintain brand voice and guidelines across all social media channels, ensuring consistency and authenticity in communication.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and guidelines related to social media marketing, ensuring compliance in all activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in a multiunit business environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and their respective best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics, and social media KPIs.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple, sometimes competing, priorities and projects.
  • Naturally curious and creative problem solver.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in distributed consumer services, ideally healthcare.
  • Multi-unit/site social media management experience to include developing and executing strategy and content.
