The position involves a mix of strategic planning and hands-on content creation, with approximately 25% of the time dedicated to monitoring social media interactions, 60% to content creation, and 10-15% to engaging with other users' posts. The contractor will work closely with the team to brainstorm new ideas and contribute to key projects, including the upcoming release of AI capabilities for Microsoft Clarity. This role is essential for driving growth and increasing awareness of Microsoft Clarity, particularly as the team works to educate website owners and partners about the product's features. The contractor will need to be proactive in their approach, utilizing analytics tools to inform their strategies and ensure that the content resonates with the audience. The position requires onsite work in Redmond, WA, 1-2 days per week, and the contractor must be able to relocate to the area before starting work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing and social media for Microsoft Clarity.
  • Build marketing strategy and create social media posts, blogs, and case studies.
  • Engage with social media channels including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor social media interactions and respond to comments and posts.
  • Create content such as blogs and case studies to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Participate in team meetings to brainstorm new ideas and review backlog items.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in social media management.
  • 4-6 years of experience with analytics tools, especially web analytics.
  • 4-6 years of writing experience, including documentation, blogs, and marketing copy.
  • Excellent writing skills with a focus on clarity and engagement.
  • Experience in digital marketing, SEO, and SEM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with video editing for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity.
  • Background in managing social media for analytics products.
