About the position

The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is seeking a creative high performer to support and advance its social media capabilities. This role is pivotal in developing and executing NRECA's social media strategy across various platforms, aimed at expanding the Association's reach and enhancing its reputation with key policymakers. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires a proactive approach to managing social media accounts and content creation.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage NRECA's corporate and grassroots social media accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop relevant social media content for various campaigns and initiatives.
• Develop editorial calendars and supporting materials that align with overarching strategies.
• Track, report, and recommend tactics to leverage trends and respond to community feedback.
• Design and edit images and videos in coordination with the creative team using editing platforms like Canva.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, Political Science or related field.
• 5+ years' experience managing social media in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• 2+ years of experience working on Capitol Hill, political campaigns or advocacy initiatives preferred.
