The Social Media Manager at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) Georgia campus is a pivotal role responsible for enhancing the institution's social media presence. This position involves planning, creating, curating, and publishing content that aligns with and promotes PCOM's mission and communication efforts, particularly for the Suwanee, Georgia campus. The Social Media Manager acts as the "social voice of PCOM Georgia," developing and executing the institution's social media strategy to engage various stakeholders, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members. In this role, the successful candidate will create and publish engaging content across multiple social media channels, including Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Threads. The manager will collaborate with team members and stakeholders to plan and manage cross-campus social media content and campaigns, ensuring that the content reflects the College's story and supports organizational priorities such as enrollment management. Regular interaction with social media followers and influencers is essential to establish and promote PCOM Georgia's presence and relevance. The Social Media Manager will also be responsible for scheduling content publication based on the academic and event calendar, supervising work-study students, and monitoring social media metrics using analytical tools like Sprout Social. The incumbent will maintain knowledge of social media trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to recommend and implement changes to improve the effectiveness of social media initiatives. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the Marketing and Communications department.
