About the position

The Social Media Manager is the primary leader responsible for overseeing all social media initiatives for the agency, focusing on blue-chip automotive and alcohol spirits brands. This role involves driving business growth, developing and implementing social media strategies, and enhancing campaign execution and reporting. The manager will collaborate closely with the creative team to deliver high-quality social media content and will be instrumental in expanding the agency's service offerings in social media.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the agency's organic and paid social media efforts.
  • Manage and grow a team, starting with a social media strategist.
  • Champion the role of digital and social media in driving brand and business growth, translating these concepts into actionable strategies within the agency and for clients.
  • Seamlessly manage social media strategy, platform execution, buying, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute impactful social media plans for clients.
  • Partner with creative leads to align content with overarching social media strategies.
  • Oversee multiple internal and external projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Generate ideas, collect data, plan meetings, and provide written recaps while meeting deadlines.
  • Push the creative team to produce culturally relevant, social-first assets that are best in class.
  • Ensure content production timelines are adhered to, working alongside creative teams to meet strategic goals and client deadlines.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to expand the agency's service offerings in social media.
  • Promote the agency through speaking engagements, sharing trends, and agency case studies.
  • Collaborate with the PR team on opportunities for OpEds, bylines, and blogs.
  • Conduct competitive audits in the digital and social media landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, paid social buying, and reporting.
  • Experience working with Hispanic consumer segments and in the automotive category is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Social Management Software (e.g., Sprinklr, Spredfast), and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
  • Experience working with influencers and content creators is advantageous.
