About the position

Kohler Ventures is seeking a Social Media Manager to oversee and enhance the company's voice across various social media platforms. This role is pivotal in developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy for a new health and wellness venture. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for setting up and managing social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X. The position requires creating, curating, and publishing high-quality, engaging content that resonates with the target audience, in collaboration with the Content Editor. Additionally, the manager will engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive brand reputation. The Social Media Manager will also stay informed about industry developments, wellness trends, and social media tools and applications. Planning and executing social media campaigns to promote product launches, events, and other initiatives will be a key responsibility. The role involves maintaining an up-to-date list of influencers in relevant areas and developing a shortlist of potential influencers to amplify reach and engagement. This position is an individual contributor role that reports to the Executive Director - Head of Business at Kohler Ventures, and it requires close collaboration with other members of the Kohler Ventures Commercial team and select external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the social media strategy of a new health and wellness venture.
  • Set up and manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.).
  • Create, curate and publish high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our target audience in partnership with our Content Editor.
  • Engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, wellness trends, social media trends, tools and applications.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote product launches, events, and other initiatives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of influencers in key areas and industries and develop a shortlist of potential influencers to amplify our reach and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in the wellness and tech industry.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong fluency in English and polished writing.
  • Proven ability to remain polite and composed in the face of negative comments.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools and video editing software.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive work forward.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working in a wellness or tech startup is a plus.
