About the position

The Social Media Manager at bankESB will be responsible for managing and enhancing the bank's social media presence across multiple platforms. This role requires a proactive and innovative individual who can develop and execute social media strategies that align with the bank's brand and core values. The manager will oversee content creation, community management, and performance analysis to drive brand awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all bank and holding company social platforms with timely and accurate content development and community management practices.
  • Develop and manage organic social media calendars, posts, and budget allocation for boosted budgets.
  • Create and implement social media organic plans from content calendar creation through execution, integrating efforts with the marketing team.
  • Develop and execute a proactive and reactive social media strategy for 20 platforms across three banks and related holding company brands.
  • Utilize Hootsuite for planning, curating, delivering, and managing content and analytics across different channels.
  • Create and produce video content for social channels.
  • Collaborate with business lines and advertising agencies to align with brand goals and ensure seamless execution.
  • Write and edit compelling content in line with the company brand voice and develop assets for post engagement.
  • Respond to inbound direct messaging and work with Customer Care to resolve customer issues.
  • Monitor competitors and community activities to improve current strategies and perform regular social listening.
  • Manage brand reputation using services like Google My Business and Google Alerts, taking action based on feedback.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance, providing recommendations for platform and creative shifts.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and community management; banking experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or a related field with an emphasis on marketing, communications, social media, or English.
  • Expertise in calendar and content development/management with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient in major social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Proven track record of increasing social media followers and engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with community management tools including Hootsuite and promoted post strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with paid social media, including Meta Ads Manager and other platform Ads Managers.
  • Skills in graphic design, photography, and video creation/editing.
