About the position

The Social Media Manager at Hiscox is responsible for developing and executing the brand's social media strategy to engage small business owners and drive growth through effective social media marketing. This role involves managing social media channels, creating compelling content, and analyzing performance metrics to inform strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the social media agency to oversee and execute the social media strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage and monitor all company social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.
  • Establish and cultivate the online community by engaging with comments and messages.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and communications teams to align social media strategies with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Create compelling content, including images, videos, and infographics that are creative and engaging.
  • Use data and audience insights to monitor social media trends and analyze performance metrics.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, platform algorithm changes, and emerging social media trends.
  • Establish key KPIs to measure the impact of social media on topline goals.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with the internal communications team to strategize corporate and customer social media.
  • Develop a targeted social media approach for core customers: SMB, Brokers, and agents.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in social media management or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate and curate engaging content.
  • Strong understanding of branding, messaging, and target audience engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Design skills are a plus but not mandatory.
