About the position

The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing content for the social media accounts for The United Family and its related brands. This role involves analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions, and planning social media campaigns to meet business objectives. The Social Media Manager will manage the budget and produce analytics related to social media, as well as make recommendations and implement plans to execute effective strategies. In this position, the Social Media Manager will plan and develop social media campaigns that align with business objectives aimed at driving brand awareness, engagement, website traffic, app downloads, or product sales. Collaboration with business teams, community partners, and agencies is essential to craft and approve compelling content that engages audiences and aligns with promotional plans. The manager will utilize social media tools to post both organic and paid campaign content across various social media accounts, ensuring that each brand's unique voice and tone are accurately represented. Additionally, the Social Media Manager will maintain a relationship with the customer service center to monitor social media trends and provide support. Testing campaigns and channels to maximize engagement and return on spend is a critical aspect of the role. Staying informed about the latest social media trends and leveraging them in the company's channels is also necessary. The manager will research and recommend new social media channels and changes in existing platforms, set goals, measure campaign performance, and make recommendations for future campaigns. Reporting on campaign performance and overall channel effectiveness, including ROI, is expected. The role also involves working with agencies and other business partners to establish relationships with influencers and managing the social media budgets to maximize returns. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to ensure proper operation.

Responsibilities

  • Staying aware of the latest social media trends and how they can be leveraged in our channels.
  • Researching and recommending new social media channels and changes in existing platforms.
  • Setting goals and measuring campaign performance, making recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Reporting on campaign performance and overall channel effectiveness and ROI.
  • Working with agencies and other business partners to establish relationships with influencers.
  • Managing the social media budgets to maximize return.
  • Performing other duties as requested or required by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or other related field.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible management experience in social media or similar role.
  • Experience in creating social media strategies and crafting engaging content.
  • Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to develop positive and efficient work relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills with prior experience as a copywriter.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to support complex and cross-functional projects spanning multiple technologies and disciplines.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Able to handle shifting priorities, manage work and self with little direction.
  • Well organized and able to get work done through others.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with influencer marketing.
