About the position

Excelligence Learning Corporation is seeking an experienced and innovative Social Media Manager to enhance our brands' presence on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. This full-time position is based in our Shelton, CT office and plays a crucial role in building brand awareness for Really Good Stuff and Excelligence Learning Corp. The Social Media Manager will connect with our target audience and drive traffic to our website properties. The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary and strategic thinker, capable of maintaining a voice that resonates with our brand values. In this role, you will shape and drive the brand's social media editorial voice, ensuring that all content aligns with our style, quality, and tone. You will develop and manage the social media content calendar to support our marketing efforts. Your responsibilities will include creating, curating, and managing all published content, including images, videos, and written posts, while maintaining a proactive posting schedule. Engaging with our audience daily is essential, as you will turn fans into loyal customers and foster relationships with online influencers to enhance brand advocacy. Collaboration is key in this position; you will partner with SEO, merchandising, and internal teams to align product and content strategies across social and website platforms, ensuring cohesive messaging across all channels. You will also design and implement programs and promotions to boost community growth and engagement, utilizing various channel mixes, including blogs and PR, to create authentic brand awareness. Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on social media performance will be part of your responsibilities, using insights to optimize strategies and stay ahead of trends and competitors. Staying updated on the latest digital media and social trends will allow you to incorporate fresh ideas and tools to keep our brand at the forefront of social media.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional-level social media/content marketing experience, preferably with a background in education or teaching.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or Public Relations.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and a strong grasp of analytics, tracking, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with successful paid social promotions and campaigns is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with a high sense of initiative, accountability, and ownership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record of success.
