About the position

Gupta Media is seeking an experienced and passionate storyteller to join our team as a Social Media Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in amplifying our clients' brands through effective organic social media and influencer marketing strategies. Your responsibilities will include the creation and curation of content for various social media platforms, developing editorial calendars, and collaborating closely with our Media and Creative teams to execute fresh and engaging ideas. You will also be responsible for measuring the success of these campaigns and ensuring that they align with our clients' broader content strategies. As a Social Media Manager, you will own the content creation process, which includes writing post copy, managing design and motion graphic work, and overseeing the publishing of posts. You will develop social coverage plans for one-off activations and manage all channel housekeeping. Additionally, you will compile and visualize data for content performance reporting, ensuring that our strategies are informed by the latest industry trends and best practices. Your role will also involve managing community engagement and moderation on clients' channels, including proactive outreach and crisis monitoring. Responsibilities

  • Own content creation and curation for clients' social media, including editorial calendar development and post copywriting.
  • Delegate design/motion graphic work to the Creative team.
  • Develop social coverage plans for one-off activations in line with the broader content strategy.
  • Manage all channel housekeeping and post publishing with oversight from the Senior Social Media Strategist.
  • Compile and visualize data for content performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Senior Social Media Strategist and Media teams to manage influencer content and branded partnerships.
  • Stay current with and assess industry and social media trends, tools, platforms, innovations, and best practices.
  • Manage community engagement and moderation on clients' channels, including proactive outreach and crisis monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years experience in an agency or marketing role with a dedicated social media focus
  • Experience working with social media scheduling and content management tools
  • Strong portfolio of successful campaigns demonstrating creative storytelling ability across multiple social platforms
  • Excellent communication and creative thinking skills
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Driven to learn new things and constantly improve on current methods
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to work in a variety of media and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
