About the position

Arizona's Sports News Leader, PHNX Sports, is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. Launched in September 2021, we aim to provide sports fans with comprehensive coverage through a digital sports network featuring credentialed journalists, personalities, and insiders. Our mission is to make it more enjoyable to be an Arizona sports fan by delivering engaging content across various platforms. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence and engage with our audience effectively. This role requires a creative individual who can curate and manage daily content across all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and emerging platforms. You will produce engaging social and vertical video content tailored for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Stories/Reels, ensuring that our brand identity is consistently maintained across all channels. In addition to content creation, you will actively engage with our community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. You will design and execute social media campaigns for special events, brand partnerships, and community initiatives, providing real-time coverage during games and events to keep our audience informed and engaged. Monitoring and analyzing social media performance metrics using tools like Sprout Social will be crucial in refining strategies and optimizing content for better engagement. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with marketing, events, and team beats to align social media content with overall marketing campaigns and brand initiatives. Staying informed about the latest social media trends and best practices will ensure that PHNX Sports remains at the forefront of digital innovation. You will generate creative concepts and strategic solutions for partnerships that align with our brand standards and current social media trends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media content plan to elevate brand visibility, engagement, and storytelling.
  • Curate and manage daily content across all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Produce engaging social and vertical video content tailored for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Stories/Reels.
  • Actively engage with ALLCITY Network's Diehards, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain the brand's voice and image consistency across all social media platforms.
  • Design and execute social media campaigns for special events, brand partnerships, community initiatives, and other promotional opportunities.
  • Provide real-time coverage during games, live shows, and events to ensure dynamic and up-to-date content delivery.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics using tools like Sprout Social.
  • Use data insights to refine strategies, optimize content, and improve engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, events, and team beats to align social media content with overall marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, and team-specific voices.
  • Support weekly metric tracking and content performance assessment alongside Team Beats, General Manager, and Head of Content.
  • Stay informed about the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure ALLCITY Network remains at the forefront of digital innovation.
  • Generate creative concepts and strategic solutions for partnerships aligned with brand standards and current social media trends.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in social media management.
  • 5 years of experience in social media strategy/marketing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere for video editing.
  • Strong understanding of social listening and social media marketing.
  • Experience with Facebook Advertising and WordPress.
  • Ability to create engaging content and execute social media strategies effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SEO practices.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools like Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of emerging social media platforms and trends.
