About the position

The Social Media Manager at Janus Henderson is responsible for developing and executing the social media strategy with a focus on North America. This role involves creating engaging content, managing social media channels, and collaborating with stakeholders to support marketing campaigns. The position also includes educating colleagues on social media best practices and ensuring compliance with brand safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Global Social Media Lead to develop and action the social media strategy with a focus on North America.
  • Create social media content that supports Janus Henderson's business objectives and increases brand engagement.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support Janus Henderson's campaigns on social media.
  • Manage Janus Henderson's LinkedIn and Instagram channels, exploring other channels for expanding brand presence.
  • Educate and coach colleagues on the use of social media and recruit for Janus Henderson's social advocacy program.
  • Ensure social advocacy content is kept up to date and appropriately branded.
  • Act as a first line of support for compliance queries relating to social media, ensuring brand safety.
  • Monitor and report on performance on social media platforms and the social advocacy program using first and third-party tools.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years working in social media
  • Proven copywriting skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and prioritize tasks
  • Able to think creatively and be solutions-led in a dynamic working environment
  • Ability to assess data and draw actionable insights
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and high volume environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services industry and an understanding of the U.S. finance regulatory landscape
  • Experience running a social advocacy program
  • Experience with Hootsuite and Seismic Live Social
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
