About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our vibrant team as a Social Media Manager and Front Desk Assistant at our boutique fitness studio. This multifaceted role involves managing our social media presence, providing excellent customer service at the front desk, and assisting in the day-to-day maintenance and cleanliness of our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok.
  • Create and curate engaging content that aligns with our fitness brand's ethos and marketing objectives.
  • Use scheduling tools like Buffer or Hootsuite to manage post timing, monitor interactions, and analyze campaign metrics.
  • Work with graphic designers to produce eye-catching visuals using software like Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Research industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging social media platforms to keep our strategy fresh and effective.
  • Foster relationships with influencers and fitness communities to boost our visibility and engagement.
  • Greet members and clients, providing them with a warm, welcoming service experience.
  • Manage bookings, handle payments, and provide information about classes, membership options, and studio services.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general inquiries efficiently.
  • Ensure the studio's cleanliness by performing regular checks and upkeep routines.
  • Wash and fold towels if needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in social media management, ideally within the fitness or wellness industry.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, for content creation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage members both online and in-person.
  • Basic knowledge of fitness or customer service roles is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • A proactive approach towards cleanliness, organization, and maintenance.
  • Enthusiasm for the fitness industry and a commitment to personal health and well-being.

Nice-to-haves

  • A degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if you have substantial experience.
