About the position

We are seeking a creative and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team at Smashers in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing our brand presence across various social media platforms, ensuring that content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with current trends. This part-time, temporary position requires a commitment to working hard to get our brand known in the community.

Responsibilities

• Create & schedule daily posts across all Smashers social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok)
• Ensure that posted content is on-brand, on-trend, and engaging
• Collaborate with Smashers owner to help establish and promote personal brand as it pertains to the business
• Monitor social media channels for industry trends and engage with followers
• Collaborate with restaurant leadership when responding to comments/inquiries
• Develop social media campaigns
• Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and tools

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in social media management
• 1 year of experience in social media marketing
• 1 year of experience in editing
• 1 year of experience in photography
• 1 year of experience in proofreading
• Proficient in proofreading and editing content
• Strong understanding of public relations principles
• Experience with graphic design and video editing (Photoshop and/or Canva experience is a huge bonus!)
• Knowledge of photography for creating visually appealing content
• Familiarity with social media marketing techniques
