About the position

Cloudflare is seeking a Social Media/Community Manager to enhance and evolve our social media presence across the Asia Pacific region. This role is pivotal as you will serve as the digital face of Cloudflare, collaborating with various teams to connect with our community of users and prospects. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain Cloudflare's social media properties, ensuring that our messaging resonates with both local and global audiences. You will be tasked with identifying and utilizing the right social channels to penetrate non-English speaking markets, thereby expanding our reach and engagement. In this role, you will spearhead Cloudflare's presence on key social media platforms such as X, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, while also exploring additional Asia Pacific-specific channels. You will provide insights in technical industry forums and manage our presence on popular review and comparison sites. Your ability to synthesize feedback from community channels will be crucial for internal reporting to stakeholders, and you will continually seek new social channels to enhance engagement. Additionally, you will influence and guide employee engagement with the community, fostering a strong connection between Cloudflare and its users. Responsibilities

  • Manage deployment and maintenance of Cloudflare social media properties
  • Be the face of Cloudflare in key rapid response social channels like X, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Spearhead Cloudflare's presence on additional Asia Pacific-specific social channels
  • Identify the right local channels to help penetrate non-English speaking markets
  • Provide relevant insights in technical industry forums like StackExchange and Hackers
  • Manage Cloudflare's presence on popular review/comparison sites
  • Coordinate localized communications across Asia Pacific social channels and the Cloudflare blog
  • Synthesize feedback across community channels for internal reporting to stakeholders
  • Continually expand the social pie by finding new social channels to get engagement
  • Influence and guide engagement by employees with the community
  • Manage relationships with key social intelligence vendors

Requirements

  • Immense curiosity to learn every intricacy about Cloudflare's business and our expanding feature set
  • Experience with localizing social media strategy for Asian markets
  • Tech savviness to relate effectively with our technical audience
  • Strong written skills and wisdom about the nuances of a great digital body language
  • Direct experience in expanding both company managed communities and third party online communities
  • Basic SEO knowledge to ensure that social postings complement Cloudflare's SEO footprint

Nice-to-haves

  • Functional understanding of one or more of the following languages: Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean
  • Background in web security, web performance, networking or edge services
  • Experience communicating to a global audience
  • Familiarity with JIRA
  • Personal experience as a Cloudflare customer for your own domain
