About the position

Encircle is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth and their families. Our mission is to foster an inclusive environment where LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive, and our guiding philosophy, "No Sides, Only Love," is central to all our programs and services. We are currently seeking a Social Media Manager who will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand presence and engaging with our diverse audiences through effective social media strategies. This position is primarily remote, but candidates should be located in Salt Lake City or the surrounding area to participate in in-person events and meetings at our Encircle locations. The Social Media Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing & Communications (VPMC) and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Encircle's marketing and communications goals. This role involves creating and curating engaging content across various social media platforms, managing community interactions, and analyzing key metrics to optimize our social media efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media management, particularly within the non-profit sector, and will be passionate about advocating for LGBTQ+ youth. In addition to managing social media accounts, the Social Media Manager will collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding. They will also stay updated on social media trends and best practices, manage influencer relationships, and participate in community events to promote Encircle's mission. This full-time position requires flexibility, as some weekends may be necessary for event participation. Responsibilities

• Create and implement a social media strategy aligned with Encircle's overall marketing and communications goals.
• Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms.
• Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers to build a strong online community.
• Track and analyze key social media metrics using tools such as Sprout Social and Google Analytics.
• Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid advertising, to support various initiatives.
• Work closely with the marketing team and all departments to ensure brand consistency.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with influencers and brand advocates to expand reach and enhance brand image.
• Manage social media-related crises under the direction of the VPMC.
• Participate in large organization and community events to build awareness and visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within the non-profit industry.
• Proven track record of growing and managing social media accounts with measurable results.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Graphic design and basic video editing skills.
• Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
• Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Experience with social media advertising and campaign management.
• Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Hubspot).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
