About the position

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating engaging content and building strong online communities for a client in Charlotte, NC. This role requires a proven track record in content creation, community management, and social media strategy, with a focus on driving brand awareness and engagement across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, curate, and publish high-quality, engaging content across social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and emerging platforms.
  • Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive and interactive online community.
  • Create and implement comprehensive social media strategies to align with business goals, increase brand visibility, and drive traffic and engagement.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics, using data to inform and optimize future strategies.
  • Plan, execute, and manage paid and organic social media campaigns to promote products, services, or brand initiatives.
  • Work closely with the marketing, creative, and product teams to align social media content with broader marketing campaigns and brand messaging.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the brand remains competitive and innovative in the digital space.
  • Build and manage relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and strategic partners to expand reach and credibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and scheduling software (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to grow and manage online communities.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising is a plus.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design.
