About the position

Benco Dental is eager to connect with new audiences and engage with our existing customer base through compelling social media initiatives. The Social Media Manager will help us expand our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts. This role will develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and affinity. In doing so, the Social Media Manager will maximize customer engagement with Benco Dental product and service offerings to drive brand awareness and increase market share across the dental industry. Finally, this role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, content creators, category managers, the demand generation manager and project managers to create and execute all social media campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Use social media tools (such as HubSpot, Sprout Social or Hootsuite) to craft and release content to our social channels
  • Conduct a full review/audit of our competitor's social media programs to help develop Benco Dental's social media strategies. Develop an ongoing process for monitoring our competitors
  • Develop social media campaigns in collaboration with the category marketing teams (Consumables, Equipment, Field Services, Practice Solutions and Design)
  • Become an extension of the company's brand to connect with existing customers, and acquire new ones
  • Analyze the company's social strategy to make frequent improvement suggestions
  • Stay up to date with new and emerging trends to help keep Benco Dental's social media presence consistently relevant
  • Establish KPIs for all social channels to understand efficacy of existing social campaigns and adjust strategy for further optimizations
  • Create a social media analytics dashboard that will track all social campaigns, posts, social listening and competitor's social cadence across every social platform against established KPIs and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing
  • 2-5 years of professional experience
  • Significant experience leading a brand's social media initiatives and creating strategies that have generated social media growth
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of social media tools (HubSpot for Social Media, Sprout Social, Hootsuite)
  • Experience driving and scaling a social media following for a medium to large brand across multiple social media platforms - Linkedin, Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube with the ability to customize the strategy per platform
  • Keen understanding of how to craft effective social media strategies, analyze results and make recommendations for future strategies
  • Familiarity with project management software (Wrike) and an understanding of how to work in an agile environment
  • Solid knowledge of Social Media KPI benchmarks and how to track those across various social media tools and platforms
  • Ability to pivot quickly and make fast decisions based on changing needs in a high growth environment
  • A strategic mindset that can see beyond the day-to-day to help the business achieve long-term
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
