About the position

As a Social Media Manager at GSD&M, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our clients' social media programs to life across various platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of social media dynamics and the ability to create engaging, social-first content that resonates with audiences. You will work closely with the social media team within the Consumer Engagement Group, contributing to the development and execution of social strategies that align with client goals. Your passion for social media will be essential as you leverage your expertise to craft impactful content that drives engagement and brand awareness. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the social teams in implementing clients' social strategies. This includes writing compelling social copy, creating creative assets, and managing the day-to-day activities on social channels. You will assist in the development and implementation of a monthly content calendar, ensuring that all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent social voice. Your ability to monitor trends in social media channels will inform your content strategy, allowing you to stay ahead of the curve and engage with relevant industry influencers and trending topics. The ideal candidate will possess strong content creation skills and proficiency in industry-standard photo and video editing software, particularly the Adobe Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. You will also be expected to provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to the team, sharing key learnings and best practices to enhance our social media efforts. Your proactive approach to community management and your ability to analyze brand performance data will drive continuous optimization of our social media strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support social teams in the implementation of client's social strategy.

  • Monitor trends in social media channels to inform content strategy and creation.
  • Engage with relevant industry influencers, events, and trending topics on social media.
  • Leverage brand social performance data to drive continuous optimization.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
  • Strong content creation skills, including copywriting and editing.
  • Experience in social media management and strategy development.
  • Ability to manage internal relationships across various disciplines.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing expectations.
