As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining situational awareness of U.S. policy and events within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. This includes staying updated on current developments in the region to coordinate and direct content selection for websites and apps effectively. You will manage the social media pages associated with the website, conducting assessments to ensure that all content is appropriate and ready for publication. Your role will also involve performing quality checks on submitted work, monitoring feature and word counts, and making recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction while adhering to budget constraints. Additionally, you will contribute to periodic reviews and reports as requested by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and advise customers on emerging web trends. Monitoring the growth of internet technologies within the SOUTHCOM area will be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to make informed recommendations for technological improvements to the websites. This position requires a proactive approach to social media management, ensuring that all content is engaging and meets the needs of the audience.
