About the position

GotPhoto is on a mission to digitalize the people photography industry, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Social Media Manager to join our Brand Marketing team in the Atlanta area. This role is pivotal in leading our full-organic social ecosystem by developing and implementing social media strategies that enhance our online presence and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have experience leading brand social channels, a deep understanding of social media platforms, excellent content creation skills, and a strong pulse on the photography industry and its audience. As GotPhoto continues to grow, we recognize the need for a dedicated Social Media Manager to bring our brand voice to life on social media. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging social media strategies that align with our business and marketing objectives. You will identify content pillars to structure conversations and tailor our global brand identity specifically for the social audience while ensuring consistency with other marketing channels. You will leverage social strategy, data, and content to generate and maintain editorial calendars and schedule organic content. Additionally, you will lead the development of graphics, images, and videos in alignment with brand guidelines, collaborating with our photographers and design team. You will assist in planning, executing, and monitoring organic social media components of marketing campaigns to boost brand awareness and engagement. This includes working closely with the Growth team to develop paid social campaigns that drive qualified leads and signups. You will also develop strong relationships with social media influencers and photographer partners for thought-leadership content, fostering community engagement by actively participating in relevant conversations and discussions. Analytics and reporting will be a key part of your role, as you will track and analyze key performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and provide insights to optimize social media performance. Staying up-to-date with social media trends and industry best practices will be essential to propose and implement creative ideas that keep our brand's social media presence current and engaging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with social media influencers, photographer partners, and relevant brands for thought-leadership content.
  • Foster community engagement by actively participating in relevant conversations and discussions, and monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, and follower growth, using social media analytics tools.
  • Prepare regular reports and provide insights to optimize social media performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading brand social media channels.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Facebook groups) and their respective audiences.
  • Proficiency in using video editing services like CapCut and Adobe Suite.
  • Proven track record of being creative and engaging with professional audiences.
  • Ability to leverage internal departments for support.
  • Previous experience creating visual content and copywriting is a plus.
