About the position

The Social Media Manager at Emarsys is responsible for overseeing the company's social media channels, engaging with partners and influencers, and executing social media campaigns to enhance Emarsys' online presence. This role involves strategic planning, content distribution, and training regional marketing executives to optimize social media performance. The position requires a creative and innovative approach to maintain a credible social presence and contribute to the overall content strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the syndication, moderation and activity of Emarsys' social channels
  • Engage and build relationships with partners, membership organizations and influencers to leverage their social reach and knowledge to help deliver campaign objectives
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to help build a compelling social media presence for Emarsys
  • Audit competitor's social approaches to identify opportunities for Emarsys
  • Distribute and repurpose our content across multiple networks, to ensure it reaches more of the right people
  • Plan around existing and developing conversations, ensuring the content team has a steady supply of 'hot topics'
  • Ensure our social profiles are search-engine-optimized for maximum search visibility
  • Identify opportunities to drive Emarsys as a 'social' business across multiple territories - including new social channels
  • Train our regional marketing executives to lead and report on their region's social media performance
  • Evaluate current contingency plans and protocols and update when necessary
  • Look for opportunities to keep our content and social presence creative, innovative and credible
  • Help the content team to develop a network of contributors (internal and external)
  • Feed into the Emarsys content strategy and vision, being a key player in reactive and proactive campaigns

Requirements

  • Passion for social media
  • Solid understanding of what makes a successful campaign
  • Demonstrated track record in Marketing with a deep understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and other media types
  • Background from an e-commerce/software sales environment is a big asset
  • Exceptional writing skills with a strong social tone of voice that reflects Emarsys' brand
  • Excellent understanding of SEO
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make complex decisions
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the changing market, clients, and the business
