About the position

The Social Media Manager at PowerSchool is responsible for developing and executing the company's social media strategy across various platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. This role involves managing content creation, optimizing channel structures, engaging with followers and influencers, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and engagement. The manager will also coordinate with the digital team to integrate paid social media efforts into the overall strategy, aiming to move customers through the brand marketing funnel from awareness to advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and day-to-day running of social media strategy and channels.
  • Day-to-day coordination to ensure social media strategy and tactics are incorporated into campaigns and corporate communications plans.
  • Close collaboration with Manager of Corporate Communications.
  • Analyze effectiveness of plans, delivering results to stakeholders and management.
  • Provide analytical and critical industry insights/competitive insights to drive tactical decision-making and optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of PR and social media experience in increasingly complex roles is required.
  • 2+ years managing multiple social media accounts required.
  • More than 3 years of communications experience within a Fortune 500, hi-tech or education technology organization is preferred.
  • More than 3 years of PR and social media experience in education technology preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity working within a Sprint project management system and use of project management software.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
