About the position

The Social Media Program Manager at Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is responsible for developing and implementing the company's social media strategy as part of its corporate communications plan. This role involves designing and delivering campaigns that engage audiences, managing both paid and organic social media efforts, and monitoring channels for risks and issues. The manager will work across various departments to ensure the integration of social media with overall marketing strategies, while also promoting a culture of safety and ethical business practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements PSE's social media strategy as part of the corporate communications plan.
  • Designs and delivers campaigns that engage online and social media audiences.
  • Monitors channels for key risks and issues and creates digital mitigation plans.
  • Manages all aspects of paid and organic campaigns.
  • Advises internal clients on social media strategies for their specific business needs.
  • Upholds safety compliance standards related to work responsibilities.
  • Reports on corporate risks and issues observed on social media channels.
  • Manages the company's day-to-day social media activities across multiple platforms.
  • Independently leads strategy and execution of paid and organic social media marketing campaigns.
  • Manages budget and spend for paid campaigns.
  • Brings PSE's brand voice to life through content curation.
  • Strategizes and implements customer service initiatives on social media channels.
  • Manages emergency communications delivered via social media.
  • Uses social media data to analyze impact and provide recommendations.
  • Establishes key performance indicators for social media campaigns.
  • Manages editorial calendar and creates supporting content.
  • Plans, places, and tracks social media advertising campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, digital communications, media, marketing or related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in the digital space or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to manage projects and work with departmental teams.
  • Keeps pace with trends in social media and internet marketing.
  • Experience with social media monitoring tools like Sprinklr.
  • Deep knowledge of developing and placing paid social media campaigns.
  • Ability to identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content.
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methods and applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding ability to innovate and think creatively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experience with website analysis using various tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google, Sprinklr, and social media ad platforms.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key social media audiences.
