About the position

As the Social Media & Public Relations Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing against strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement and community growth. This role will be crucial in enhancing our brand visibility, fostering positive media relationships, and engaging our audience across various social platforms. The ideal candidate will be an excellent people manager who can build strong partnerships across the organization, is an effective influencer and thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments. This person must effectively lead a global team in executing against a clear vision that drives business growth, builds brand equity, generates consistent brand exposure, and optimizes storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and manage social media strategy and marketing campaigns across social channels including Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest, YouTube and Facebook.
  • Oversee weekly, monthly and quarterly social content calendars ensuring alignment with overall brand messaging and coordination with other channels.
  • Build and evolve overall brand awareness strategy across all existing social channels, while keeping an eye on new, emerging platforms and social media trends.
  • Develop & drive strategies to grow follower count and increase engagement rate.
  • Partner with the creative team to ensure content is aligned with brand values and identity.
  • Liaise with external reps to optimize performance on each platform.
  • Remain knowledgeable on changes within each platform and adjust strategy quickly to keep up with a dynamic and fast evolving channel.
  • Architect a cohesive strategy across PR, communications, partnerships, and events aligned to brand goals and objectives.
  • Oversee Press, PR Events, Influencer relations and affiliate strategies for brand campaigns, seasonal moments as well as an 'always on' strategy.
  • Manage relationship with PR agency, key press contacts, talent agents, management teams, and influencers/creators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external agencies, and vendors to support and execute events and activations.
  • Elevate consumer brand perception by partnering with creators to create content for paid campaigns and brand organic usage.
  • Cultivate and develop relationships with like-minded brands, celebrities, influencers, organizations, and other relevant stakeholders for new potential partnerships.
  • Surface innovative partnership opportunities including co-branded collections, limited-edition collaborations, and exclusive deals to drive revenue growth and brand awareness.
  • Manage and allocate monthly and quarterly PR and Social budgets to deliver against channel goals and optimized for ROI.
  • Establish, track, and report on KPIs across channels and campaigns.
  • Analyze & interpret strategy results to provide recommendations to optimize future performance.
  • Consider and put into action how all the different marketing elements work together to drive optimal strategy and results.
  • Use data to drive decision making and analytical thinking to support your recommendations.
  • Possess a willingness to test new initiatives, learn quickly and move forward.
  • Lead a global team in executing against long term strategic initiatives and day to day business objectives, managing competing priorities with limited resources and combining big picture thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Coach and mentor team members.
  • Regularly communicate strategy, seasonal plans and manage incoming requests from cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate across all functions including CX, Finance, Creative, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations.
  • Represent Petal & Pup with agencies, talent, media, like-minded brands and others to build brand awareness, deliver revenue goals and expand reach.

Requirements

  • 7 - 10 years proven success in PR and Social Media Marketing, including 5-7 years in Women's contemporary fashion.
  • 5+ years team management experience, with a proven track record of collaborative leadership ability to coach & develop emerging talent.
  • Successful track record of building brand awareness, growing followers and engagement across multiple platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of existing and emerging social platforms and trends, including but not limited to; Instagram, TikTok, Facebook & Pinterest.
  • Proven history of strategizing and executing innovative events & activations.
  • Experience working within both established and growing brands.
  • Established connections within fashion media, influencers and industry VIPs.
