About the position

The Social Media Specialist/Graphic Designer role is a full-time, in-office position focused on creating engaging social media content and graphic designs that align with the brand's aesthetic. The ideal candidate will be a visual storyteller and wordsmith, responsible for designing eye-catching posts, writing engaging captions, and collaborating with the marketing team to develop content strategies. This position requires a passion for social media trends and a commitment to producing high-quality content that resonates with the audience.

Responsibilities

• Create stunning visuals, infographics, and posts for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
• Utilize design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva to produce visually appealing content.
• Write engaging and witty captions that encourage audience interaction and reflect the brand's personality.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars that ensure all posts are on-brand and resonate with the target audience.
• Monitor and engage with the social media community, responding to comments and messages in a witty tone.
• Stay updated on social media trends, meme culture, and design trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Analyze performance metrics using analytics tools and adjust strategies to enhance engagement and brand awareness.

Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience in social media marketing and graphic design.
• Familiarity with social media trends and the ability to adopt brand voice easily.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative vision and design skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and InDesign.
• Experience with digital and social media design.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in video editing.
• Graphic design experience of 1 year (preferred).
