About the position

The Social Media Specialist at NuFACE is responsible for creating and managing engaging social media content across various platforms, with a primary focus on TikTok. This role involves content ideation, planning, editing, and project management, as well as community management and trend analysis to enhance brand awareness and engagement. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and influencers to optimize social media strategies and maintain a strong online presence.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all social content ideation, planning, curation, capturing, editing and project management.
  • Manage ongoing content editorial calendars for all social channels, creative briefing and asset delivery.
  • Primary lead for TikTok channel content strategy that drives awareness, engagement and relevance.
  • Identify/anticipate TikTok trends for the brand to participate in or put its own spin on.
  • TikTok community management and UGC- Work with Social + Influencer Coord & Comms Intern to monitor ugc and conversations and be the first to spot a ‘viral' moment.
  • Create and capture several social-first videos per week (in office, bts at events/shoots, at our retail and pro partners, etc.).
  • Edit video content ensuring the requirements are met for each social media channel and are aligned with the brand aesthetics and identity.
  • Lead bi-weekly social content brainstorms and participate in all other creative briefings and brainstorms as needed.
  • Analyze content weekly, monthly and ad hoc through reporting that measures insights to provide recommendations for how to optimize performance and inform future content strategy.
  • Work closely with Influencer team to identify and communicate with up-and-coming content creators.
  • Coordinate and manage freelance and in-house content creators and ambassadors from scouting, negotiating contracts, scheduling, briefing, providing feedback, receiving deliverables, invoicing.
  • Partner with influencer team to coordinate content scheduling and provide all content creators and influencers with content briefs and feedback.
  • Responsible for documentation of NDA and releases.
  • Stay up to date with current technology and content trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on key projects, including but not limited to: Influencer, PR, Education, Channel Marketing, Performance Marketing, HR, CRM, Creative and more to further the brand team's social media objectives.
  • Support social team on day-to-day maintenance of all social media channels and emerging platforms, including posting, updating highlights section on IG, updating bios, connecting with our audience and responding to comments & DMs in a timely and on-brand professional manner.
  • Track the competitive landscape and keep the Comms team up informed on notable moments/trends.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years' experience in social media content creation.
  • Excellent understanding of multiple social media platforms.
  • Self-sufficient at producing your own content.
  • Video editing software and basic graphic design knowledge is a must (Canva, Adobe Premiere, inShot, CapCut).
  • High aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail - a creative eye is necessary.
  • Demonstrated organized self-starter who is able to manage multiple tasks deftly and see the big picture.
  • Ability to operate quickly and calmly within a high-pressure, dynamic environment, while setting and maintaining key priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology.
  • Polished in presentation and communication.
  • Beauty industry experience a plus.
