About the position

Educated Solutions Corp is seeking a talented Social Media Sport Marketing Manager to join their Sport Originals team, working closely with the creative studio department. This role is pivotal in overseeing, contributing to, and executing the social editorial and promotional calendar for the client's social media handle, which focuses on their sports content, including live broadcasts, sports originals, and documentaries. The social media handle serves as a platform for promoting sports-related content, engaging with fans, and providing updates on live events and sports series available on their streaming service. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the sports landscape, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to drive high engagement through innovative social content. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for reporting onsite three days a week in Culver City, CA, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams, agency partners, and external leagues/organizations to ensure impactful social campaigns and content strategies. This position requires a proactive approach to social media management, with a focus on creating engaging content that resonates with sports fans and enhances the visibility of the client's sports offerings. The role demands creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced nature of live sports events.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, contribute to, and execute social editorial and promotional calendar for clients' social media handle and individual sports originals titles with special attention to properties within the clients' portfolio.
  • Advise social leadership on go-to-market planning for using campaigns using current platform and editorial trends.
  • Pitch, develop, and plan breakthrough social creative that drives high engagement before, during, and after live events.
  • Utilize strong sports editorial judgment to recognize and curate socially-relevant moments that connect sports originals titles with live broadcasts and the broader sports landscape, using content production tools to optimize posts for each platform.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with agency partners who support day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with the clients' Video brand social team and other cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of priority broadcasts.
  • Utilize insights and reporting to recommend changes to content and strategic approach.
  • Build relationships and be a trusted partner with the external leagues/organizations and athlete/talent teams.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the team's CMS.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media management, particularly within the sports industry.
  • 5 years of experience in social media/entertainment/sports marketing.
  • Strong editorial judgment and understanding of the sports landscape.
  • Ability to develop and execute innovative social media strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Past experience working with originals or storytelling projects.
  • Proficiency in using social media content production tools.
  • Experience in analyzing insights and reporting to inform content strategies.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and talent teams.
