The Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator is responsible for working closely with the Social Media/PR and Marketing teams to provide digital support for Boot Barn Inc. and exclusive brands via social media. The ideal candidate will understand social media platforms, marketing strategy, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and will support and collaborate with key Marketing leaders and team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include supporting the Social Media Team in building out our brands on TikTok, while developing engaging content around new product launches, seasonal campaigns, FAQs, brand partnerships, and more. The role involves planning, capturing, and editing high-quality video content using primarily professional camera equipment. The candidate will implement social media strategy on platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube for the Boot Barn family of brands and brainstorm innovative ideas and concepts to support brand initiatives with a focus on editorial storytelling, influencers, and consumer engagement. Community management is also a key responsibility, which includes monitoring and facilitating responses to social media posts and direct messages in partnership with the Customer Service team on all platforms. The candidate will edit and refine content to meet brand standards, optimize final exports for various social media platforms, maintain the social media email box, oversee the monthly social media newsletter, assist with miscellaneous projects, and manage the organization of all internally shot social content. The role requires a high level of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and management, while adhering to all local, federal, and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support Social Media Team in building out our brands on TikTok.

  • Implement social media strategy on platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Brainstorm innovative ideas and concepts to support brand initiatives with a focus on editorial storytelling, influencers, and consumer engagement.
  • Monitor and facilitate responses to social media posts and direct messages in partnership with the Customer Service team.
  • Edit and refine content to meet brand standards and optimize final exports for various social media platforms.

  • Assist the Social Media Team with miscellaneous projects like creation of PR product collections and line sheets for PR purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in content creation and social media.
  • Demonstrates proficiency on all social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in video editing software and experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other content creation apps is preferred.
  • Ability to create event marketing materials including flyers, signage, invites, and event programs.
  • Ability to attend select photo shoots and events to capture content (25% travel).
  • Demonstrates ability to follow direction and execute tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
