About the position

The Video Editor (Hybrid Role - Social Media Specialist) will play a crucial role in enhancing the social media presence and brand identity of a real estate wholesaling business. This position focuses on creating impactful, educational, and visually captivating video content for various platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design, contributing to the overall brand strategy and visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form and long-form videos for storytelling and educational purposes.
  • Ensure platform-specific optimization for videos, including aspect ratios, pacing, and captions.
  • Craft visually engaging opening hooks, transitions, and video layouts to retain viewer attention.
  • Repurpose existing content into multiple formats for cross-platform use.
  • Design and integrate custom motion graphics, including intro sequences and animated transitions.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive graphics package for branding across all video content.
  • Create thumbnail designs for YouTube and other platforms, ensuring they are eye-catching and aligned with current trends.
  • Add dynamic text animations and captions for videos to enhance readability and engagement.
  • Ensure consistent application of branding elements such as colors, fonts, and logos in all video content.
  • Work collaboratively to evolve the visual style and identity of the brand over time.
  • Suggest improvements to visual aesthetics based on audience feedback and analytics.
  • Work closely with team members to align video and graphic design with the overall brand strategy.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative concepts for video content.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in motion graphics, typography, and video effects.
  • Organize and manage design assets for efficient use in video projects.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional video editing and motion graphics experience, with a portfolio showcasing dynamic visual content.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Advanced skills in motion graphics software like Adobe After Effects or Motion.
  • Strong graphic design skills using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
  • Knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout design to enhance video aesthetics.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with a team or independently.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain a structured workflow and deliver on time.
