The Social Media Video Editor at Madewell will play a crucial role in producing creative assets for the brand's organic social media channels. This position requires a mastery of Adobe Creative Suite applications and a strong ability to work with various multimedia content, including video, still photography, and graphic design. The ideal candidate will possess strong storytelling capabilities and be well-versed in current content trends, particularly on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. As a self-starter, the candidate should be comfortable both generating innovative ideas and executing them effectively. In this role, the Social Media Video Editor will be responsible for shooting and editing impactful, social-first content tailored for Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging social channels. The candidate will need to demonstrate expertise in executing innovative social media concepts, particularly for TikTok and Instagram Reels. A strong understanding of mixed media for Instagram Reels and Stories, utilizing standard industry software and practices, is essential. Excellent communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with both the internal creative team and external vendors. The Social Media Video Editor will work closely with an in-house team of art directors and producers, reporting directly to the Art Director. Experience in videography and editing for social content using iPhone or cinema cameras is a must, along with a collaborative spirit and a keen attention to detail and project deadlines. The role also requires the ability to adapt and manage multiple projects, shoots, and priorities, making it a dynamic and engaging position within the company.
