About the position

The Social Science/Humanities Research Associate III position is a grant-funded role focused on independently reviewing, abstracting, and coding micro-level clinical and educational information from various sources. The role involves travel within Texas and requires the ability to handle sensitive information while ensuring data quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to school districts and health care facilities in Bexar County, TX.
  • Review, abstract, and code micro-level clinical and educational information from multiple sources (medical records, educational records, etc.).
  • Perform data entry and quality checks at UT Austin.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in public health, psychology, social work, education, or other related field with at least 4 years of related experience OR Master's Degree with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to read and interpret medical and educational records.
  • Experience in document and project/data management software, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), REDCap, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Values the contributions of others in the work environment.
  • Familiarity with autism or other developmental disabilities.
