About the position

The Social Science Research Assistant position at Stanford University's Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) involves conducting social science research, drafting reports, and supporting teaching and administrative activities. Responsibilities

  • Conduct social science research on international security issues.
  • Draft reports and assist with funding proposals and budget tracking.
  • Support teaching activities by preparing presentations and correspondence.
  • Organize course simulations and manage logistics as the course administrator.
  • Manage a busy calendar, arrange travel, and handle reimbursements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant social science field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with nuclear policy and the laws of armed conflict.
  • Experience with survey experiments and statistical software such as Stata or R.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Amazon's Mechanical Turk or Qualtrics.
