About the position

The Direct Support Professional role involves working closely with clients who have developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. The primary focus is to assist clients in navigating daily activities, maintaining hygiene, and improving their independent living skills. This position emphasizes building trusting relationships with clients to support their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. The role offers flexibility in scheduling and encourages a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities and errands.
  • Support clients in maintaining hygiene and meal routines.
  • Establish trusting relationships with clients through regular one-on-one interactions.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and achieve their personal goals.
  • Utilize Therap for daily tracking and billing of client services.
  • Plan and organize activities tailored to individual client needs.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience in organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong advocacy skills and a passion for helping others.
