About the position

The Social Services Supervisor at CalvertHealth Medical Center is responsible for overseeing nursing care in the Behavioral Health, Emergency Psychiatric Services, and Partial Hospitalization Program. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care to meet patient needs while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The supervisor will lead a team, coordinate patient care, and work collaboratively with medical staff to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing care to meet patients' needs.
  • Coordinate patient care according to staffing and patient safety guidelines.
  • Supervise Behavioral Health, Emergency Psychiatric Services, and Partial Hospitalization Program staff.
  • Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for nursing care in assigned areas.
  • Provide leadership and support to unit and office staff.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, programs, and services consistent with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or diploma program in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse Certification; State Licensure.
  • 3-5 years of Psychiatric leadership experience.
  • Maintain unit-specific and hospital competencies and mandatory learning.
