About the position

The Social Studies Teacher - Long Term Substitute position is designed to provide temporary instructional support within the Indianola Community School District. This role is essential for maintaining continuity in the education of students during the absence of the regular teacher, specifically from December 5, 2024, to December 20, 2024.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging social studies lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
• Assess and evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials as needed.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification in Social Studies or related field.
