About the position

The Social Work Supervisor at The Jewish Board is responsible for overseeing clinical services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health care to diverse populations across New York City. This role involves implementing innovative clinical models, supervising licensed staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The supervisor will also engage in administrative functions to support program operations and facilitate professional development for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee new clinical services or models of care to meet the needs of individuals and families.
  • Ensure timely access to quality clinical care for clients.
  • Monitor show rates and appointment availability.
  • Provide direct services to clients, including intakes and crisis interventions.
  • Conduct individual and group supervision for program staff.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities such as chart reviews and utilization management.
  • Facilitate team meetings and case conferences.
  • Ensure program compliance with relevant regulations and standards of care.
  • Utilize electronic databases to monitor billing and address fiscal issues.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
  • At least three years of experience working with adults living with mental illness.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical direct practice skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) preferred.
  • EMDR certification preferred.
