About the position

The Social Worker for Housing Case Manager role at The Salvation Army focuses on providing essential case management services to homeless families and those in housing crises across Central Ohio. This full-time position involves home-based support, life skills training, and connecting clients with community resources to help them achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide short to medium-term home-based case management to homeless families and families in housing crisis.
• Conduct life skills training and assist in case plan goal development.
• Support clients with budgeting and employment search and preparation.
• Refer and link clients to community resources and provide transportation as needed.
• Process client intake and assessment forms, and maintain data collection.

Requirements

• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Associate degree or higher in Social Work or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with persons facing housing crises and/or homelessness preferred, or willing to train the right candidate.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with a diverse population.
